I thought I would start a thread on Albums members have bought recently and what they think of them, doesn't matter who, just as long as you bought it recently. ^__^

Today I bought  Flotsam and Jetsam's newest release, [i]Once In a Deathtime[i]. It's a great CD from what I've heard so far, the only problem is that nowhere is it written "This is a live CD." It is very produced, I couldn't even tell it was live until I heard the clapping at the end of the first track. So I put it somewhere between a Best of Collection  and a live CD. It does include a bonus DVD, which I haven't checked out yet. But I think it's the CD tracks with video footage and other bonus goodies.

Overall for the 14 I shelled out for it, it was probably worth it. If it had not a  bonus DVD I probably would have bought that Motorhead CD instead though.

I recently bought Once by Nightwish (gave my old one away to my ex), and At Sixes And Sevens by Sirenia.

I was thinking about doing this; you beat me to it Messiah! Wink

Anyway, in the past six months, I've bought the following albums:

METALLIC ATTACK - The Ultimate Metallica Tribute
I have a thing about buying Metallica tributes....the bluegrass tributes were awesome! But this CD boasts artists like Motorhead doing "Whiplash", Death Angel performing "Trapped Under Ice", and Eric Singer [KISS] drumming for "Holier Than Thou". Overall, I give the album an 8/10; there are a few tracks that need to be trashed.

DISTURBED - Indestructible
One of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Not a single bad track on the album. 10/10

ICED EARTH - I Walk Among You
A fairly good EP; I Walk Alone is kind of bland, though. But you guys already knew that. Smile 8/10

JUDAS PRIEST - Nostradamus
Am I the only one that thought this album was kickass? 9/10

APOCALYPTICA - Worlds Collide
One of the best bands in existence today. Never would I have thought that cellos and metal would mix so awesomely! 9/10

SUICIDE SILENCE - The Cleansing
For metalcore, it's not that bad. 7/10

Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulences - DREAM THEATER

So, I bought this double-CD yesterday and it's very good. I didn't know DT a lot, but they are just amazing ! I know that a lot of people dislike James LaBrie's voice, but I think he's very good !

The Number Of The Beast - IRON MAIDEN

Just a single to complete my collection ...

Gothic Live - THERION

They record this live in Warsaw, there is a huge set-list but I think some of the songs aren't useful. But the drum solo is interessant ! This a double-CD and 1 DVD pack. It's not to expensive ...

KISS "Destroyer" Remaster - Of course it's a KISS album my third FAV BAND EVER after Iced Earth (#2) and Cradle Of Filth (#1), it was on sale for $6 at Wal Mart so I had to get it. 10/10 (because it is one of their best albums ever)

Judas Priest "Nostradamus" - No, Set you are not the only one who thinks this kicks ass. Though I bought it solely for the free ticket code but of course when I went online to turn in the code all the free tickets for Dallas (the only place I can go, don't have the money to go to any other venue) were sold out. I didn't have the $25 bucks needed to BUY the cheapest ticket on the site (and still don't right now). But I was surprised at how awesome I thought this album is! 10/10

Iced Earth "I Walk Among You" (Both the physical cd and the Itunes bonus track) - I agree with every one else on this. 8/10

Iced Earth "Slave To The Dark - The Century Media Years Box Set" - While not endorsed by Jon, it is one of the BEST packaged box sets ever! From the artworks, to the mini lp style discs. The dissapointing thing about this set is that they didn't include the original versions of the first three albums, they are the remastered ones from the Dark Genesis set from 2001. Though Stormrider has a bonus track not on the original remaster from 2001 and Burnt Offerings has a second cd of a "rough" mix of the entire album, so that makes them slightly different. 10/10 for the way it was put together (art and such) and 8/10 for content.

I would add the three Zebra albums I got but I got them from illegal download sites, so I didn't pay for them.

I tried to get the original Stormrider disc today, but the reissue came in and not the original. I felt like an asshole telling them that I would have that version later when I bought Dark Genesis. >__<

But I did order Symbolic [Remaster] by Death, because it has so many bonus tracks and I need a few new albums to keep me entertained at the beach.

Personally, not a fan of the Nostradamus album, I took about three tracks and put into my iPod, the rest just bored me.
