So Adam and I had a great idea - why don't we start an Iced Earth tribute band? I know we have great musicians on here!

So, because I play bass and Adam's going to do rhythm, we need a lead guitarist, a drummer, and a vocalist. We'd like someone that can do all the styles of all the vocalists for IE, but we know that's not possible, so if we have multiple vocalists that's fine.

Some might say, "How will this work? I doubt any of us live close to one another." You'll record your part on the computer and send it to all the members and then someone will put them together as a song!

We'll also need a name, so suggestions are open for that as well! My suggestions are "Iced Over" or "Pure Evil".

So, sign up! Now!

I have a one man band, haven't "worked" on finding anyone to be in the band since I moved to Texas (But since I can't play guitars or bass or drums, I never recorded anything. Though I do manage a band they are southern doom and sound more like Black Sabbath and Corrosion of Conformity which is awesome but not IE). I can sing but only in the Glen Benton of Deicide meets the non screams low growl talking style of Dani Filth of Cradle Of Filth style. So I guess I'd be useless for the band. But here are some name suggestions..

Burnt Offerings
Dante's Inferno
Question Of Heaven
Iced Realm
The Wicked
The Blessed And The Damned

Yea they suck but I named my band The Twisted Thorns Of Faith so you can't expect too much from me I suppose.

Thanks, now if only I can get off my lazy ass and try to advertise and find folks willing to play (or at least record, I doubt I will be able to get a gigging type band. A studio band even via internet like this IE tribute would be good too) Deicide meets Cradle Of Filth style music, I'd be set!

Just thought of a couple of names for the tribute band!

Ice Dearth

Iced Erf Razz

Here's Iced Erf's first album (With a cameo by the unnamed shark! Dressed as Jaws that is)

Yea I suck at photoshop but oh well.

I could play the lead guitar. but i have no gear for recording. And anyway i think that a cover band is supposed to do gigs instead of recordings, like play in places were IE doesn't go (like finland!  Evil or Very Mad ...if they skip it again on the next tour, im going to be very angry)

True most cover bands only do gigs, but some actually make a living (or try too) of gigging and recording. Like The Iron Maidens, Ten Masked Men, a few others I don't remember off hand. The have cd's out ( Iron Maidens have a dvd out too). And except for the Iron Maidens (who actually opened up for Iron Maiden before, which I find funny, I guess they had to pick songs the Maiden weren't going to play, I don't know how that would have worked out, I never saw the show, plus I don't think it was in the US anyway, nor do I remember when it happened) usually record sans a professional recording contract, if they record at all.
