As requested, I have started a belief thread. Here, you can post your own personal beliefs and religion. Feel free to expand however much you like on your post, but don't make it TOO long [inb4 tl;dr]. Feel free to ask anyone about their beliefs and if you're not comfortable with answering a question just say so
HOWEVER, if I see ANY flaming, name calling, belief-bashing, or inconsiderateness on this topic WHATSOEVER, your post will be deleted. This will constitute as your first warning. If I continue to see posts such as these, I may have to delete your account. If it still continues, the thread will be locked. You have been warned!
So, be respectful, be considerate, and be thorough in your explanations!
I will post my personal beliefs at a later date, for now I'm off to class! _________________ Fallen from grace cuz I've been away too long

I stopped thinking about religions. If you look back in history, the most killings were done for religion. Especially the Church did in Medieval times very much useless and nonsense shit. The Inquisition for example, or the Crusades (yeah, setting free the Holy Lands is a very good reason Rolling Eyes )
I also don't believe in God. Like I said in another topic before, "God" will punish us for our sins and send us to Hell, BUT he "loves" us Rolling Eyes I rather go to Hell instead of the Christian Paradise (it sounds so boring Laughing )
There must be or must have been (maybe Gods can also die? Shocked ) something which was responsible for the Big Bang, but I don't want to call it God. In the most religions God seems like a sadomasochistic person who likes to see us drowning in our pain and misery. The most (religious people) would call this being "Satan", for me it is the Christian (and not only) God.
Another thing I believe is that the human species is the least one that deserves to live. Dinosaurs, (later) Animals and all the Plants lived so many millions and billions of years in harmony with our earth. Than like 150 thousand years ago came the human race, like 10 thousand years ago they started todestroy totally our planet. I won't say that the things we've done are all bad (for us) but we destroyed earth and in future we will also destroy the universe. "Intelligence is a Gift AND a Curse"
Back to the God theme: Why would a God create such wonderful things and let them got destroyed by a stupid race which thinks that it is the most intelligent and the "chosen" ?
We never will know the answers until death, but it's good for your heart, your mind and your soul if you can talk about these things.
I think the most things I wrote are out of topic, but, oh well Laughing
Here is something I posted on the Christianity Vs. Atheism thread.
One day I will sit down and post again some things, but all in all this is the most important. _________________ Don't Tread On Me !.....Live Free Or Die!!!
well as I mentioned, I believe in death (not the band ^^)
I asked myself a long time ago, is there any thing going on in this world that PROOVES the existance of an overnatural being? and I found it in the moment of death, that comes to every man and woman.
I hate the word god, and the blind believe in a idea, made by men, to make other men kneel before it.( this is no open attack on ANY religion, but it is my oppinion, I hope you all understand)
So I worship death, as the final moment of savior when everything, a man has done in his life, comes to an end, and he gets what he disurves, may it be the punishment of an unimportant life or the satisfaction of a life someone can be proud of. no hell, no heaven, just the reflexion of the own life. I believe, that death, IS the overnatural being, all religions worship as a god. and I believe that by his touch, we will get into another lvl of existance, which we should not be afraid of. I can't explain it nearer, cause I have no rule book like the bible, to tell what WILL be. I juts believe in death, to be, what I work for all my life... _________________ be truly yourself,

I keep Religion at the bottom of my "I don't care" pile, right next to politics. I just don't think about it, or care honestly.
I'm a Evolution believer, but I'm not going to walk around and try to prove it. If you believe in something, whatever, go ahead. I don't care. _________________ Fuck the Patriots
i do believe in an afterlife. not really heaven & hell per se, but i do believe that our spirit moves on to another life & we do get too be with our loved ones. _________________

I don't believe, I know that there's a god. His name is Matt Barlow
Ok, serious now.
I guess you can call me some kind of atheist, as I don't think that there are any gods at all. Although I sometimes think about some "higher" beings somewhere in the universe because I don't like the idea of evolution just simply happening.
About the afterlife: I have two opinions about this. First I believe in some kind of afterlife, that life is maybe just some kind of test and death is only the beginning of something greater. On the other side I say that the chance, that there's nothing, is very high. The light goes off... and it remains off.
Ok, that was longer as I expected. Short version: I don't know _________________

I couldn't and never had believed in any religion, just because I can't believe in something mankind invented, just like Santa Claus. Besides that, if you look closer, every religion is the same : one or many gods, an avatar send on Earth, a savior, the creation of Earth by the god, the destruction of Earth concording with the fight agaisnt the Good and the Evil, a life after death, reincarnation, etc. Some of the facts like the flood and the Noah's Ark are present in many religions. But if I don't believe in religion, I don't blame other people believing in other religions ; they do what they wanna do. I think christianism is just another way of wieving what we cannot understand.
I don't have the "christian faith", but I think that there's something transcendental beyond, something higher that create all things ... What else could make the physical distortion that the Big Bang was ? I also do believe in reincarnation and NDE (my mother made one), premonition dreams (I also had some) : I think we're all bound by and endless thread, but we just don't use our brain right ... I have my own conception of the things that religion taught as before, but the only difference between my conception and religion, is that I don't want other people to believe in what I wrote there _________________ Every Day sends Future to Past
