Well here is a topic for every1.

Which era do you enjoy the most?
Now every1 knows about Ozzy, cut that fanbase in half and you have ppl who realized that Sabbath didn't stop after Ozzy was kicked out.

Cut that fanbase even lower and then you find ppl who realized Sabbath didn't stop after Dio left.

First up to the plate was former Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan.
He would only do 1 album. This particular album had a couple good tracks but felt overproduced and artificial, the remedy to this is to listen to the unmixed demos on lockjaw. Disturbing the Priest is a badass song.

Next up is Glenn Hughes, once again a 1 album singer. Mostly due to the fact he kept blowing it live. Ray Gillan would replace him for live gigs only to leave/kicked out before the next album.

Finally we come to a very underrated individual that was basically abused by sabbath but would release 5 albums worth of material.
Tony Martin
He would be the last singer to join sabbath before the Reunions and H&H projects. As well as fill in for whenever they had shows that Dio or Ozzy would not attend.

heres my evaluation of each era.

Ozzy Era: Most radio time, Anthemic songs, foundation for doom metal.
8/10

Dio Era: all around better musically, a better singer (imo), still had Doom elements.
9/10

Ian Gillan Era: They had about 3 songs i liked but they ruined the actual album Born Again. Vocally is a hit and miss for me.
5/10

Glenn Hughes Era: In actuality it was supposed to be an Iommi solo album but that failed. meh 4/10

Tony Martin Era: This era had the most change. While it mostly had a doomish song occasionally it went along with what Dio had musically while he was in sabbath. keyboards were adopted as a full time scale in the music. It became very 80's ish in style, while still having a song or 2 continuing the old sabbath ways.

In the end I think Tony Martin is the best singer Sabbath has ever had, if you put Whitesnake's/former Deep Purple's singer David Coverdale and give him a dash of Dio with an almost scottish accent, you have Tony. A great singer that dealt with being constantly fired by Iommi only to volunteer to sing when no1 else would.
10/10

Rob Halford would also do live gigs for Sabbath on occasion as well.

I'm not that familiar with BS eras but one thing that I know is that Dio's era was the best IMO.
Ozzy's wasn't bad either!
