Well, i know that all of us loved TTTG CD (anyways, who didn't deserves to die ), i think could be a pretty cool idea to put the songs that we love to hear on Iced Earth/Matt Barlow's voice for a cover.
Here's my list:
TV Crimes - Black Sabbath (DIO)
Heaven & Hell - Black Sabbath
Battery - Metallica
Disposible Heroes - ''
Sad but True - ''
No Remorse - ''
Unforgiven - ''
Ashes to ashes - Faith no More
All guns blazing - Judas Priest
...and i have no more in my memo right now...and yeah, i love Metallica too xD
Well, post your songs here people! When i got one i'll do too

Don't tread on me by Metallica!
Matthew loves that song!
And for me... I'd love The Clairvoyant by Iron Maiden _________________ "IN THE TWILIGHT OF MORNING

This wouldn't work, because of the bass
No one can play the bass like Steve Harris \m/ _________________ Don't Tread On Me !.....Live Free Or Die!!! |

Painkiller would be cool!
Alison Hell by Annihilator!
Fear of the Dark? Always a classic...
Flight of Icarus, I love that song!
The Trooper... They have already done this live. _________________ c. 5502 BE (6 BC) - Jesus of Nazareth was born. --~?~--- |

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner and Alexander The Great would be great!
Or The Oath, Blood Of My Enemys, I Believe and Hail And Kill from Manowar, but I am sure that they will never do Manowar songs, Jon hates songs about "Warriors of Metal, who slaughter every wimp and poser, and who don't have friend which are not into metal" _________________ Don't Tread On Me !.....Live Free Or Die!!! |

Yea studio versions of The Trooper and Detroit Rock City would rock. Maybe they can cover some Helloween songs like say Ride The Sky or Phantoms Of Death or even the classic Hello-ballad A Tale That Wasn't Right. Dr. Stein or Rise And Fall would be fun covers for them. Maybe even stray from metal and cover some Beatles, or Stones or the Who or something like that. _________________ "Once again we have laid another loved one to rest. UGH!!! I HATE their "Don't Tread On Me". The singing is just wretched in my view... however the guitaring is awesome and the music contains AMAZING melody and decent harmony plus obvious rythem rhythm and equally awesome timbre the music itself is, by the very definition of music, awesome.
I would still rather see something like the Unforgiven because Barlow would do SOOOOOOO much better with those lyrics than Hetfeild. The song is supposed to have a kind of sad feel to it (or at least to me it sounds like it is) and Barlow is very good at sounding sad without sounding whiny (to be fair I'm not a big fan of Hetfield much or anybody elese who tries to mimic his singing (something WAY too common in these "alternative rock"* bands today))
*Question... How can you call the current most popular genre of Rock, "Alternative". Its an oxyMORON (that is a general question not directed at anybody on this forum) |

Anything from Maiden would be cool.
Don't talk to strangers by Dio. ( Blind Guardian has covered this.)
Black stone wielder by Candlemass.
Any Savatage song would also sound good. _________________ Mankind's dishonesty
