It's THE best metal song IMO. And Iced Earth made it 1000% better than the original!

Hallowed Be Thy Name is an obvious favorite. Id like to say i like Detroit Rock City more if they did a studio recording.

I don't like the original Shooting Star, Iced Earth's is much better.

I don't agree with you : Iron Maiden's Hallowed Be Thy Name ain't the same song than Iced Earth's Hallowed Be Thy Name. I like the two versions very well. My favourite IE cover is transylvania, she is squarred and there are more solid basis.

I was thinking the same thing, Transylvania is and amazing cover. Iced Earth pulls it out greatly.

Background info for the song 1776: It was one of the first Purgatory (60) songs and then it was called Purgatory. I want to hear the P version of it, sure without flute  Confused

The best covers are Hallowed Be Thy Name Maidens version is better but IEs is the best cover of it and Transylvania better as Maiden, because (like The Wicked One would say  Mr. Green ) it sounds more br00tal
