Blind Guardian

Discuss BG here.
The Wicked One

I heard they made a song and put it in some German RPG if they keep making songs like that I will enjoy their next album.

Concerning A Twist in the Myth. The only song that truly felt like Blind Guardian was "This Will Never End" and a little bit of "Otherland" while the rest was tolerable to likeable for me, i want the next album to be closer to what they did during Imaginations From the Other Side
Aggelos Poneros

I really like A Twist In The Myth.
Specially 2 songs: Fly and Another Stranger Me.
Lai Lai Hei

I find Blind Guardian can get boring after a while,
Amazing at first but it wares off.

Great live, though.

Finally someone younger than me.  Cool

But yeah, The way I got my parents to let me was I showed them articles about an Irish festival thats really rough. And then explained to them that Wacken isn't, and most other festivals aren't. They had a fixed idea because of one festival.
Aggelos Poneros

Buy were not alone there, right?
The Sexiest Metalhead

Blind Guardian are pretty good. Hansi's voice is amazing. I'm a fan of thier first three albums, but I do like some songs after those. They bore me at some points, but a good band none the less.
Tainted Innocence

i like demons and wizards more then blind guardian though.
i preffer johns more agressive rhythems then buncha solo's

Aggelos Poneros

Tainted Innocence

...NO!

The Wicked One

idk Tainted Blind Guardian has come up with some really heavy stuff in their time.

listen to I'm Alive, Tommy Knockers, Bright Eyes, Another Holy War, And the Story Ends, Somewhere Far Beyond (entire album), Battalions of Fear (album) and Valhalla. Especially Valhalla.
Shorty

Imo one of the best bands in the world Smile
First is Maiden
second Iced Earth
and finally third Blind Guardian Very Happy
Tainted Innocence

i would move the whole list down and put nightwish up at the top XD
The Sexiest Metalhead

When I saw BG live, I also talked to Hansi, I told him I've been a huge fan for years, and wish I'd meet him and Schaffer together one day. Razz It was the last show in Austin on the 06 tour.

Harsh...Nightwish is up there for me...but so is BG, so, touche!
The Wicked One

not harsh. really. I just like BG more.

If i said Nightwish is shit to Epica, then THAT would  be harsh. (totally not true) Though Epica's singer is a little hotter imo.
Tainted Innocence

eh,everyone is entitled to their oppinions.

i find BG to be a little to cheesy to listen to alot of it.
Feaněs

Well I really like Guardian, they are very important to me....
I like every album and it is beside IE my favourite band.

Many say they are too weak, and the sound is not heavy enough, but the sound is just how BG sounds like, what do you think about their sound, I think it is heavy enough for this kind of Metal....  Question
Sentinel

Great band, I own a couple of albums of them and also a live dvd. My favourite album would be "A Night at the Opera", that's a awesome album. "Battalions of Fear" is another favourite.

The only complainment I have is that in many songs they ruin the chorus by making them sound too happy.
Feaněs

"Nightfall in Middle Earth" is the best album for me.....

Well, yes, sometimes, the chorus looses his power in being a little bit too happy when it is about serios things.
Aggelos Poneros

I like  "A Twist in The Myth" :]

This was the concert I went to, very small place in Austin, it was like a private concert, it was NUTS!  I was right beneath Hansi, and a little to the right. I'd say there was 50 to MAYBE 75 people there, at tops. It was also my first concert, was so awesome!
Aggelos Poneros

Nice^^
I want to go on Blind Guardian Sad

Probably something along the lines of

"Because I'm fucking Hansi; the lead singer of Blind Guardian!!"
Feaněs

haha!

Well I guess that would be really bad....

But from what I heard, Hansi was probably friendly and stuff, nice guy like you know...  Confused

BUT SCHAFFER would have said something like: "cause I'm fucking Johnny, who walks this earth tenthousand years or more, I was born on the sixt day, of the sixt month; IN THE SIXT HOUR!"  Laughing
Aggelos Poneros

I think they're both actually normal.
So no fucking Hansi and fucking Jonny X]
But I never met them, that's only my opinion.
Kanadwen

I met Hansi at the Austin concert, really friendly guy! He looked pimp in his blue jean jacket! Razz The first time was waiting in line for it to start, which was outside leading down the street, and he was walking by with someone I didn't know, but it seems that I was only one who noticed him, I was like "Heya Hansi!" and he came up, greeted me, shook my hand, and said hes real excited that I came to the show. No one else really cared that he was right there, I was like omfg! Then after the concert, I went up to him and told him it was a fucking awesome show and he said I'm glad you enjoyed it, then I left, with not being able to speak right for about a week due to screaming the lyrics! Razz God forbid if I ever land front row at a Iced Earth concert!

Well that's great, I'd wish I would have met him too, he is one of my heros...beside Schaffer of corse.
Last time I was at an Iced earth concert, I was first row, but only thing I got was eye contact with John and Tim....   Crying or Very sad
