I personally love Guitar Hero and Rock Band, though the music selections are a little bad but there are plenty of good songs that make it worth it for me.

I almost cried when Jon got nominated for the Rock Lords or w/e show, and the winner would be sponsored on Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero can be fun, but I'd hate for IE to be exposed like that. Thank God they weren't...

If you would really want to rock out to IE on Guitar Hero, there are many of their songs for PS2 GH, and PC. Also, there is a program called Frets on Fire (same thing as Stepmania is to DDR), which you can download IE songs, or create your own.

The game is fun for 2-3 songs, after that it becomes boring.
But i'm sure it would be much more fun with some Iced Earth songs to play along to!

I think that guitar hero is an acceptable game (in the concept) but Rock Band is awful ... The main problem for the both, is that the playlist is shitty : 5 great songs in a game ? Nonono ... Frets On Fire is better 'cause you can choose your set list but some of the songs are plenty of bugs, the sound doesn't match with the image, etc.

I played Desert Rain on Frets on Fire and it was pretty damn fun I must say. As a whole though, Guitar Hero and Rock Band get boring quickly for me. I thought with the inclusion of drums, I'd have a good time, but I'd still much rather hop on my kit and play for real. The whole idea was good for what it was, but it's getting old.
