John Greely

I know I am in the minority here when I say, he was my favorite of all the IE vocalists. Not that Barlow or Owens suck, far from it they do indeed kick ass, but I don't know what it is, I just like Greely's singing better. But that's just my opinion. I loved the original IE cd (self titled) but totally couldn't stand Gene Adam's vocals. Still don't but because of the excellent musicians, I still listen to the first album here and there. Out of all the albums though, I listen to Stormrider the most.

John Greely has a band called seventh seal.

he plays bass/guitar/keyboards and sings.

When he finally releases an an album, in his words, like Stormrider.

I'm not a fan of him. Haven't heard him in anything becides Iced Earth though.

The only story or rumor Ive ever known of about that is that he stole from Dave. Well Dave has told me over and over that this is not true so there you have it from the horses mouth.

He had a family and he wasn't getting enough money as a singer to support it.

go to the myspace and it has 2 interviews and i think the forgotten scroll one covers his departure.

i think that was just slander. word hits an ear of him having a jewish cousin or whatnot. later on and 40 ears or so later he turns into a nazi.

i read that once but it was from an unofficial myspace of IE. So i think that whole rumor is bull.

if its true, oh well, as long as the music is good, i don't care.

well there are bootleg vids of the Gene Adams era.
When The Night Falls live. theres more but i haven't gone into detailed searches for finding it.

Some European or a Blind Guardian Street Teamer back then may have something. idk. I wish there is something.
In any case I hope Greely can get past his anger and maybe play an IE song live if the band goes far.

John plans on releasing a 3 song DVD from the NOTSR era!!!!

save up the money in dem piggy banks. What was thought lost in the void will come to us!

1. Iced Earth (we can finally hear the Greely version, FUCKING FUCK YEA!)
2. Angels Holocaust (for those who saw the vid clip, this was already known)
3. Stormrider

With the live bootleg recording put together with the dvd package. (signed)
will cost 30 bucks US.

Hopefully seventh servant could tour with Blind Guardian someday. Heck I think we should try to make this happen in anyway possible.

I talk to him too, and he's always in great mood of talking. I will get the bootlegs as anyone will get them in US. I can't wait to watch the DVD. We'll get IE in his era, we wanted this in the bootlegs... Wink
