update: hurricane gustav is just west of New Orleans, so I think the worst we'll get in Houston is lots and lots of rain, some flooding, maybe gusty winds. I'll keep you guys informed

I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area (Hurst), and I hadn't heard any "bad" news weather wise here, but I don't know how far Houston is from here anyway. Right now is clear blue skies with white clouds outside so I don't know if we will even get a drizzle from the hurricane here. Oh well.
