Sons of Liberty

SONS OF LIBERTY - THE NEW PROJECT BY JON SCHAFFER

Hello friends,

For the last several months I have been working on a new project/solo album called Sons of Liberty. I am excited to unveil this and talk about the motivations behind it this Friday on the Alex Jones show.

I will be in the studio with Alex on Friday December 18th at 2pm CST. The show is broadcast from 11am to 3pm CST to over 80 stations nation wide.

To find a station near you, go to GCN Live or stream it LIVE for free from Infowars.

Just click on Infowars and you will be able to follow the broadcast.

Prison Planet members can watch the interview from PrisonPlanet.TV

On a newly created website that will go live Friday, December 18th, you will be able to download and listen to this new album for free. You will also be able to purchase a high-resolution version. The web address is www.sons-of-liberty.net

My desire is for Sons of Liberty to become part of a much larger movement that is happening around the world. This new website will be a think-tank containing lots of interesting web-links, book and movie recommendations, and much more. This will be an ongoing process, so check back often.

I am very proud to be invited to Alex Jones’ show and I feel this is the perfect place for me to reveal the first Sons of Liberty album entitled “Brush-fires of the Mind.”

This is about the message and not the messenger. This is a project that I encourage you to copy and share with your friends.

I care very much about what is happening in our world, we’ve been steamrolling down this road for a long time, so I assure you this is not a politically biased message. I’m hoping to set a few brush-fires in the minds of the listeners with this one. So please, check it out, do the research and get involved!

Looking forward to getting your responses on this new chapter in my life!

All the best,

Jon Schaffer

I´m curious what Jon´s new project is all about: How will it sound? Does he do everything by himself or does he work with other musicians? What exactly will the website look like (what he says about the website sounds quite interesting)?

For my share, I´m looking forward to friday and to hear more about the Sons of Liberty project.

I like the music. However... this is about politics. I fucking hate listening to music about politics... even if it's Jon Schaffer...
Feanės

well, but its important, what Jon's trying to say, is that EVERYONE should stand up for his own rights, this is not only about politic, its about peoples own individuel rights and believings, its about the very own freedom of every person around the world

I watched that interview... and it feels more like a cult or a side... I'm not convinced.
Feanės

well but this is actually what Schaffer says, you won't believe it at first, he ask the people to do research! I'm not absolutelly conveinced either, cause I'm just afraid that this shit is really true

I've lost a lot of respect for Jon after this. I can't believe he buys into that "Loose Change" bullshit. Yeah, do the research yourself like he says; you'll realize what shit it is after you get past the propaganda video itself and actually research the facts. It seems like he might have fallen off the deep end.
paranoidmexican

the more i listen to this album the more it sucks. but it sucks less than Crucible of Man
Feanės

I still think its awsome and I also like the ideas behind it....BUT I have to say, I thought about the whole thing and there's one point I'm afraid of...WHAT ABOUT ICED EARTH?!?!?

While "Loose Change" is a rather compelling video, I don't think this whole album was inspired by that movie. Jon has said himself in interviews that he doesn't believe everything that is in the videos on the Sons of Liberty web page, but he encourages people to think for themselves. And let me tell you my friend, if you don't think anything is wrong with America and the rest of the world today, you are extremely mistaken.

As for the album, the more I listen to it, the more I grow to like it. "Tree of Liberty" and "We The People" are my favorites.

I can only agree....
The Sexiest Metalhead

This album looses it's touch pretty damn quick... I haven't listened to it sense it came out
Violator1983

I've actually listened to this album a lot.  I consider it my Album Of The Year tied with Heaven & Hell's The Devil You Know.

For those knocking Schaffer for this project, saying you're no longer a fan because of the message he's putting out...

Like Jon says....DO SOME RESEARCH YOURSELF!!!  I have been into this stuff for 3 years, and I was very skeptical at first.  Then, I started noticing things.  Even the people that make these videos tell you to not believe everything and to challenge everything.  That's the whole point!  Don't follow blindly!  Think for yourself instead of letting others think for you.  If you're really comfortable with what's gone on in the world during the last 100 years, then you have some very serious problems!  The more that happens, the more I believe that this world is beyond worth saving.

Take some time, unplug from the TV, put down the beer, and go spend a week or 2 off the grid.  That means hunting/fishing for your own food, building your own fire, and just reconnect with the earth and with nature.  The feeling you get is REAL freedom - no one telling you what to do, eat, drink, think, feel...at least, that's how I felt.  Once you break away from the machine, your perspective when you come back will certainly be different.

don't you ever say such ugly things again
Feanės

uh....put down the beer....a dangerous sentence...

but for the rest you said violator 1983, I'm totally with you. Jon can not explain this whole god damn thing to everyone...you have to get into this yourself....but most people see this project and the message as useless and stupid...closing your eyes is so much easier than to admit that this whole fuckin thing is more than just shitty....

BUT, what I have to say is, that I worry about Iced Earth and I really hope, that Jon puts a imaginary wall between his two bands. and fuck...some new Iced Earth Albums would be nice
Violator1983

I know...I want a new Iced Earth album too...Considering that I come from the birthplace of Jon Schaffer, he's one of my biggest influences.

I want a new Iced Earth album too...but I want to be able to enjoy it without worrying if all hell is going to break loose (economic collapse, martial law, another false flag attack).

As far as the put down the beer comment, sorry but I'm not a beer drinker.  I just see that the only thing that 90 percent of Americans care about are beer, sports, celebrities, and shit that doesn't matter when it comes down to it.  Yes, it's easier to keep eyes closed and not know the truth, but I'm a person that absolutely hates being lied to along with being controlled.

I have been homeless since October 2008, even though I am staying with a relative.  All of what has happened in the last few years pissed me off greatly, and learning of the truth absolutely infuriated me because there was no justified cause for this shit to happen.

To learn that everything I was taught growing up was a bunch of lies and propaganda to keep me distracted from the truth is probably just as hard as learning of the incident where my daughter was molested.  I feel the same fury that I did during that time 5 years ago.

A simple question:

I recognized a speech (in which the word "New World Order" is frequently used) in the song "A Rite of Passage" from Dream Theater's newest studio album "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" which also appears on "Brush-fires of the mind".

But which speech is it? And from whom? When was it made?

As I am from Germany I'm not very interested in American politics - although I'm not very interested in what politicians do anyway.
Ray

Okay, it's by John F. Kennedy and I found a translation.
