I would recommend songs from different eras and styles.
Iced Earth, I Died For You, Dracula, Gettysburg, Stand Alone and maybe one from SW 1 or 2.

Depends on who they are. If they are more towards death/extreme metal heads I let them listen to some Burnt Offerings. The rockers get the love/meloncholy songs. The epic kinda metalers get Travel in Stygian, Coming Curse, and A Question of Heaven.

Try Watching Over Me. I know quite a lot of people who like that and who arn't even metalheads. If this person does like metal however, I would probably recommend Stormrider, The Hunter or something epic like Dante's Inferno or A Question Of Heaven.

I understand where he's coming from here, the fact that most of the album refers to christian concepts and beliefs - but so what? I really don't get people who slate christianity, I mean come on, the whole heaven/hell concept is awesome, and look what people, like Jon Schaffer, make of it - a killer album, which I'm sure no Iced Earth fan dislikes.
Or it could just be the fact that he doesn't like the power metal side of Iced Earth

btw.: I remember some dude who said "They sound satanic" after listening to the same album. I don't understand why someone would not listening to a band only because of some religious bullshit.

well, anyone said horror show's songs but I love this album, I wasn't sure what I must suggest my friend and he said 'just send me your favorite albums' and so I said horror show :/ now I may say, what song you must NOT suggest lol .D
but I talked about IE's album stories, and he loved them soo I may say if you make love someone IE firstly tell their concepts .p
