What's the Better Album? Something Wicked BattleWhat's the better album overall? NOT JUST FROM THE VOCALS! I can't stress that enough. I've been listeneing to them both a lot lately... and I'm going to have to say part 2. It just has the better atmosphere and tracks, plus it seems to be longer overall. Which is always good. What about you guys? Discuss and vote.

Crucible has better production,better vocals  but framing has better songs.i was really looking forward to iced earth redoing framing with barlow not just because of him but because schaffer said they would remaster the sound to make it like crucible which means a bit louder guitars and stuff...but what can you do?so my vote to framing armageddon

Only thing Framming Armageddon has on Crucible is The Clouding. Other than that, Crucible has kick ass songs like Harbinger, a gift, Behold, and kingdoms. Not counting vocals. I think Barlow's version of Clouding sucks balls.

After Crucible came out and I first listended to it, I thought that Framing was the better record but by now I prefer Cucible.
That record just has better songs (Harbinger of fate, Come what may, Ccrucify the king...) than Framing even though there are too few fast songs on Crucible.
Crucibe just took a longer time too grow.

I can't really decide.
I kinda agree with Adam in saying the Trilogy of songs was better than making 2 albums for it but there were some kickass stuff on both albums. IE make a super album integrate the trilogy songs with the songs that matter. The songs that progress the story beyond that of the main songs and or really good songs.

All in all I have to choose framing armageddon.
crucible was great, but really not that catching and awsome as the framing was.
so to me, it is clear that framing WAS and IS indeed the better album

I like Crucible Of Man more than Framing Armageddon because it has more powerful songs and better because they reveal the story for Set Abominae. I like some songs form FA but COM is better, also Matt is on vocals. Barlow is Iced Earth not Ripper! Ripper is a great singer but he has Halford's style, of course he sang in Judas Priest and was no.1 fan of them. But for Iced Earth Barlow is the singer! Maybe he sing wrong tonality live but the studio songs are awesome! I like his voice. My poster of COM can say this because I have it right here in from of my PC

that's one thing i agree on,i love both albums but there are some songs on crucible i'm jus like "what the fuck is this?!" some weird stuff goes on on the album...but framing i can listen to all the songs and digg'em
