It's sad but true. Tim's got amazing vocals but fuck, he needs to find a band that fits his voice.

what he needs to do is to stop trying to be "extreme" and find a unique sound.
i don't figure that extreme is the right for it.
extreme metal is more of hybrid styles like Grindcore and Industrial.

I wouldn't say its a money issue. If we talk numbers here he is probably making LESS money being in 50+ projects.
A consistent band can gig and have a reputation. Combined is when you get the gravy. 1 or the other will not be enough. Take my beloved Dark Empire for example. They have a reputation but couldn't gig due to their singer living in Sweden. I am afraid their inability to land a drummer and a new singer will be the death of them soon enough. =(
Right now Ripper is trying to find his way I guess. He's always been given limited power when it comes to writing so Beyond Fear and Play My Game were made. Hail! as you know is a supergroup thing but you can see some Hail members were on Play My Game so this was probably the only way he could get his album out.
Hes only been fired/let go from 2 bands. the JP part was what he wanted since HE wanted Halford back in the band.
