I'm still confused.
Usally bands which charge for forum make me sick.
And now my favourite band done that.

Well in a sense they are charging for the forum but you don't just get access to the forum with purchase you get exclusive shit too. News, tshirts, contests to win all kinds of shit that you can't enter unless you are in the fanclub. Just like the COF fan club (it is the same folks running it). Just recently they gave us a preview of the entire song "Tragic Kingdom" from their upcoming album. It was a stream of the song but you couldn't hear it anywhere else at the time. Then Roadrunner Records the next put it available for free download the next day for only 24 hours. Than about a week later the COF myspace had the song to stream. So we got a new song first being in the fan club.
It's the same with the IE fan club since the same folks run it or company or whatever it is. But like some of the others here, I will indeed join cause they are one of my favorite bands ever, but I won't stop being active here. I mean COF has a free official forum they have had for years that is still active and I am still a member of, though I post more on the "pay" forum. So they have two forums one free for folks who are poor, lol! And one as part of the fan club package. Maybe IE will do that soon, but doubtful. Sure the shirts alright looking, but if I wanted one of the bands shirts, well, I'd just order one from another site. They look quite a bit better than the one I've seen for becoming a "member".

The reason they charge is because of the opportunities to win certain things and to have a direct link to the band through the chat and forums. Right now the forum is having a few difficulties but I'm sure they'll be fixed soon. _________________

The forum over there is a mess right now, al lot of weird bugs, people logged in can't see forums, and the forum is not that pretty either, hope they will fix it all asap, at the moment it does not look very proffesional to me, but a bunch of people hosting a couple of band forums and some simple web pages beside it, hopefully they will improve. _________________
