IE hasn't done specifically 'just a heavy metal album since the S/T. Unless you count Tribute to the Gods. That would be very interesting. But WWII stuff sounds cool too. _________________

yes but Burnt Offerings had a concept behind it. almost entirely religion based other than 2 songs. only Last December and Diary.
What I meant by 'Heavy' I meant stuff like transitioning to Colors to When The Night Falls.
or Written on the Walls. They are not as tied together lyrically and musically _________________

something along the Burnt Offerings formula (dark, more extreme metal variant) would be nice but seeing as how Jon basically hates the album it would hinder any chances of a new album even coming close to resembling it.
So something like the S/T could happen. But not the life-angst X 10000 that BO made.
