I know this has nothing to do with your affiliation of Iced Earth whatsoever, and I understand that you are only the webmaster, and I also understand you must be a very busy person in order to manage for a band such as Iced Earth. But I'd just like to give my two cents about this and maybe you could level with me.
I'm a resident of the US. I am also a member of Minions of the Watch, a free forum on the web for IE. I saw Iced Earth in Portland, OR when they came in October. It was my first Iced Earth show and I have to say I was quite impressed. Sadly I wasn't able to come up with the funds to purchase a VIP ticket but I indeed wanted to.
Two months after I purchased the tickets [1 month before the actual show] I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to meet and interview Jon Schaffer for LivingForMetal.com. I was extremely excited! I told all my friends and family that I was going to meet my hero! LivingForMetal told me to give them my cell phone number, my name and my birthdate. I was to bring photo ID and my phone with me so the tour manager could contact me.
This did not happen, however. The tour manager failed to contact me and I was not able to get my interview. However, I got over this once Iced Earth came out on stage. I had a great time at the show and I almost forgot everything about the interview, besides the bad news I had to bring home to LivingForMetal.
Two months later, a few friends of mine that went and saw IE and also bought VIP tickets said it was a quick, "Hey, my names [blank] sure I'll sign this, get out" kind of thing.
Now, four months later, I see this post on Minions of the Watch:
Received this e-mail from Artist Arena about half an hour ago:

We are regretfully informing you that due to the co-bill and size of the venues on the European tour, Iced Earth will no longer be able to offer the VIP experience ticket. You are being refunded in full to the credit card used to purchase your package(s). Regular admission tickets are still available through normal venue ticketing outlets.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

Well whoop-dee-fuckin'-doo! Lucky for me that I can MAYBE get a regular ticket after making and paying for all the travel plans to get from Finland to Sweden for the Stockholm show and paying for the hotel too. I can't get them refunded any more this close to the date but at least they apologize for any fuckin' inconvenience!! Mad
I am appalled at how this tour manager is managing things. I understand things come up, but the cancelled interview, the short VIP meetings when meaningful meetings were promised, and now the cancelled VIP tickets for Europe, I am utterly disappointed.
Is there any way you can explain this?

Usually the webmaster is a company, handled by different employees given at a certain time, or it could be one person, who doesn't give a shit about any of the fans because he also runs 50+ other band sites. I also know (in America) if you don't get something you originally paid for, and they still charge you, you can talk to your bank about an unauthorized charge (if your credit card is also with your bank, kinda like a credit+check card), and they will take it off. _________________ I will devour, I will divide.
