HELL-oh ALL,

I am brand new to this forum, and a fairly new Iced Earth fan.
I have been listening to them for years, but only recently started getting into them hardcore.

My fav LP by them is probably SWTWC, however I love bits and pieces of every album, and I really like EVERY singer they have had. OBV. Barlow is the best , most versatile of them all.

What really made me start getting into them was when I realized that alot of their albums are concept albums. I really hope Schaffer either continues the wicked stories, or starts another one.
I love the concept albums by Queensryche, King Diamond, Maiden, and even Overkill's 5 part "OVERKILL" saga.

My Favorite Bands of ALL time are:
1. OVERKILL
2. SLAYER
3. ICED EARTH (may move to #2 very soon, SLayer been disappointing me for a while now)
4. Maiden / Priest
5. Anything involving Sabbath/ Dio / Ozzy

I am an OLD SCHOOL Metal head,
Grew up in Philly listening to Kiss, Sabbath, ACDC, Aerosmith, VH etc (in the late 70's early 80's)
Then moved to Jersey as a teen, and found Motley Crue, WASP, Dokken, Maiden etc.
Later in the 80's when the thrash movement happened, that was all she wrote, metallica, Slayer, Overkill, Testament, exodus Etc.

Never really got into the death metal, or black metal stuff, but I am beginning to branch out a little more now.

I am A true metal head thru and thru. I still attend concerts, festivals, buy albums, bang my head, and can be found in the occasional MOSH PIT.
But I am getting "physically" older so I cant stand the aches and pains of brutal pit anymore, lol.

I am really looking forward to seeing Iced Earth this Feb. @ the TROC. in philly, and maybe even in Sayerville 2 days later. I regretfully admit I have NEVER seen them LIVE ! I do own the Athens dvd, and have seen numerous live stuff on youtube , and they crush, But I will see them this tour for SURE.

Well thats about it for now, Hope this wasnt TOOOO long, but looking forward to discussing some Iced Earth sh!t from here out.
